What I eat in a day (as a model)

April 2, 2017

Lately I’ve been asked a lot what I eat in a day, so I decided to write a blog about it! I picked a random day as an example to show you guys what I eat, but obviously I don’t eat the same things everyday. Most of the time I eat pretty healthy, but I definitely don’t count my calories.  I also think you have to treat yourself sometimes. This is also the main reason why I think I’m able to stick to my healthy eating pattern.

Before I leave home to go to the gym, I always eat something like a granola or protein bar. My favorites are the ones with fruit and nuts and I even make them myself sometimes. At this moment the only thing I drink is a glass of water, and I will fill another bottle to bring with me. I always eat my proper breakfast when I’m finished at the gym, because I don’t like to do a workout on a full stomach.

So when I come home Its finally time for a full meal, and I’m always really exited for breakfast. I am seriously already thinking about breakfast when I’m going to sleep the evening before ;). Most of the time my breakfast consists out of a bowl of Yoghurt (0% Greek Yoghurt) with granola. I just discovered the granola from ‘TLANT’: it’s my favorite so far! I tried their crumbling coconut and shocking chocolate, they’re both delicious (and gluten free). I like to add some blueberries, a few mixed nuts and sometimes a little bit of honey to it.
It’s lunchtime! Today I chose to eat wholegrain sesame crackers with two different toppings. One with egg, chicken filet, mushrooms and some roasted pine nuts. The second one has ½ avocado and mozzarella cheese with pesto on top. I’m seriously obsessed with eggs and avocado, so every day I eat at least one of these two (and as you can see sometimes both). I used some pepper and Italian spices to make it a little spicier and I eat cucumber on the side. I try to avoid bread as much as possible.

When I have an early lunch, I usually eat an afternoon snack or two before dinner. Normally I like to have some oat cookies or nuts (unsalted), but I ran out of these. So today I ate an apple with cinnamon and some grapes, also not bad ;).

I’m not a vegetarian (I used to be), but i don’t eat that much meat. However, when I DO eat meat, I always choose chicken. So today for dinner I ate grilled chicken with vegetables.

Let me know if you guys are interested in some of my recipes, so I will write a blog about it !

LOVE,

Demi
